Nyrstar – New Operations Centre, Roast Control & Admin Refurbishment

Macquarie Builders were selected to refurbish the Operations Centre, Roast Control room and Administration Building at Nyrstar, Lutana. Scope of works consisted of demolition of sizing humpy, construction of exterior downhill airlock, replacement of a section of exterior walkway with steel mesh, strip out of old Team Leaders Office and conversion to temporary control room, construction of new Team Leaders Office, Control Room Main Building Works, and Old Team Leaders Office fitout to storage room. Works involved structural steel work & timber framing, carpentry & joinery, glazing, plastering & insulation, and hydraulic, electrical & mechanical services.
